The Tasseographer

The audience is invited to visit Maureen in her home, sit down at the living room table and
drink a cup of tea.
She appears to be a modern oracle interweaving fact and fiction,
sidling along the narrow ridge between the territories of make-belief and superstition.
Tasseography is the ancient ritual of reading the tea leaves at the bottom of the cup. The piece has been developed in collaboration with writer David Lane, performers Imogen Smith and Hakan Silahsizoglu. It has been shown at a London home. watch video on youtube |
